Kids Summer Sewing Kamp
at Appletree Quilting
Kids can have fun learning to sew in our Kids Summer Sewing Kamp Program, a series of basic sewing classes designed especially for girls and boys, ages 8 and older. This is an excellent opportunity for them to learn to sew kid-friendly projects through careful step-by-step instruction and hands-on sewing in class using quality Viking sewing machines. Students must complete one level 100 class before advancing to level 200. The registration fee for each class includes the cost of materials and your child's choice of fabric.

Kamp 101: Memory Pillow

Let’s get your kid’s favorite photos off the frig and onto a fun pillow. We’ll use photo-transfer methods to feature their memories in the center of the pillow and then frame it with fun fabrics. We’ll be using beginning sewing techniques to create a great project. The kamp fee is $48 which includes all project materials.
Kamp 102: Rag Bag
A. 9:30 – Noon Wed. & Fri. July 21 & 23 - Completed.
B. 9:30 – Noon Mon. & Tue. July 26 & 27
Your child will take an assortment of bright fabric strips to make their own fashionable bag. Easy sewing skills will be used. The kamp fee is $50 which includes all project materials.
Kamp 201: Rag Quilt
A. 1 – 4:00 PM Fri., Mon., & Tue. July 23, 26, & 27 - In Session.
B. 9 – Noon Tue., Wed., & Thr. Aug. 3, 4, & 5
Kids will have a great time learning to make this comfy quilt. No rotary cutters will be used. The Accuquilt Cutting System will introduce your child to quilting the easy way by speeding up the cutting process. The quilt blocks will be completely cut and fringed by the turn of a crank so the quilt is finished in half the time. Students must have taken a 100 level class from AQC within the last year to take this class. The kamp fee is $120 which includes all the materials needed to make this fun quilt.
Kamp 202: Charming Backpack
A. 1 - 4 PM Mon., Wed & Fri, Aug. 2, 4 & 6
B. 9 - Noon Tue., Wed, & Thr., Aug. 10, 11 &12
One pack of five inch charm squares plus lining and trim fabric makes this backpack a breeze for your child to make. Students will practice basic sewing skills and stitch in the ditch quilting to finish this useful project. The kamp fee is $120 which includes all the materials.
