Our new Block of the Month program, Stars On Point starts June 26th. You have several fabric options available:
1. A gorgeous collection of batiks in purples and teals.
2. Civil War reproduction fabrics in reds, golds, greens, browns, and creams.
3. Or, we will help you choose your own fabrics.
Samples of the two color ways will be up by June 11th. Please let us know ASAP if you are interested as we will need to order in extra fabric. We will have only a limited number of kits available. The kit will include all the fabrics needed for the top, backing, and binding.
Millie will teach one or two of the pieced blocks each month plus the pieced medallion in the center. If you choose to do the appliqued center block, we will demonstrate both hand and machine applique techniques. Marilyn has digitized the design and will show you how to do the applique with your embroidery machine. Many of our customers are electing to do the pieced version for the bed and the appliqued center as a wall hanging.
We will meet on the last Saturday morning of the next twelve months (with a few exceptions) starting June 26th. You will receive your block, pattern, and guidelines during class. We will have show and tell plus an in depth demon-stration of how to put that month's block together. You may choose to attend class, pick up your blocks later, or we can ship them to you automatically each month.
Here are the guidelines:
1. The registration fee is $48 for the kit or $12 for the pattern only (no discounts apply). Then each month your kit fee will be $26.00 or $6.00 for the pattern.
2. If you bring the previous month's block completed by 9:00 am sharp, your cost for the month's kit is $24; the pattern only is $5.
